Our story
From one route to city-wide coverage
UrbanLyft started with a single early-morning route for a security company in the Cape Town CBD. The problem was simple: staff couldn't rely on public transport at 03:00, and ride-hailing was too expensive at scale.
We built a contract model that gives operations managers fixed costs they can budget for and reliable pickups their teams can count on. Today we run routes across the Cape Town metro — from the Atlantic Seaboard to the Northern Suburbs — serving corporate offices, security firms, and hospitality groups.

Coverage depends on route density and contract scope. We currently serve the CBD, Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs, Northern Suburbs, and Bellville corridor. Operating hours are 03:00–09:00 and 20:00–01:00, with flexibility for contracted clients.
